It wasn't cold, it wasn't dirty, it wasn't loud. That is my wife's input and she is very attuned to the atmosphere. The food was excellent and clearly homemade which is a good thing in my opinion. Our waitress was very friendly and very attentive. The food was ready quickly and we went during the dinner hour but did not have to wait to be seated and did not have to wait long to order or get our food which is a plus! Portion size was adequate for me and more than enough for my wife.

I just got a Spinach Quesadilla and it was very salty (I’ve seen that remark in other reviews and it’s true). My friend got Alambre Texano (basically fajitas without the facial and covered with cheese) and the whole plate seemed very plentiful for the money. Lots of leftovers. She didn’t complain about it being to salty, but we were talking a lot so there’s that. The chips and salsa were so, so. The staff was super friendly and efficient and the place was very clean (I think the Sanitation Grade was a 97 or 98). I would for sure go back and just ask for light or no salt. Worth another try.

I ordered online through sky tab which says is the preferred method for the business. When I got to the restaurant to pick up my food the person at the front looked at me like I was crazy when I told her I was there to pick up an online order. She then proceeded to tell me that the order did not even come through. I had already paid at this point so I’m not sure how that happened. She then wrote down my order and took it back to the kitchen and I waited about 10-15 minutes for it to come out. Food quality was decent but not great. Overall I would not recommend this restaurant as this one staff member was rude and ruined it for the whole group. Spend your money elsewhere.

The restaurant was super clean, the staff was super nice. The food was very good. I had the birria tacos and they were delicious, the consumme was probably the best I've had in a while. The salsa was fresh and had just the right amount of jalapeño. The best part was I didn't get sick. I rarely eat out so when I'm able to enjoy it without repercussions is always impressive.

The crabs ceviche is amazing! And we'll priced for the serving. Tostadas dont come with it but the chips are amazing to pair. Salsa valentina and a coke makes this perfect

The restaurant is located in a shopping center near the Food Lion. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the place as soon as we walked into the restaurant. Our server was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the chips and salsa. We purchased the cheese sauce which was very flavorful. We ordered chicken fajitas which came with rice, beans, lettuce, tomato, sour cream and guacamole. We also had the Hawaiian fajitas, (beef, chicken, shrimp, scallops, peppers, onions, and pineapple). The scallops were huge. We also had the Camarones a La Crema (grilled shrimp with sour cream and cheese dip sauce). The entrees were huge and everything was delicious. One of us tried a small peach Margarita for $10.

I can’t say enough about this restaurant!! The food is always fresh, the staff are always kind, and it’s worth a drive over the bridge if you don’t live in AB. I always get the vegetable fajitas, add chicken. The vegetables are carrots, spinach, mushrooms, zucchini, squash, peppers and onions and is never greasy and full of flavor. The enchiladas are on point and their seafood dishes are sourced local seafood. We have friends that visit every year and this is the first place they love to come eat. You won’t be disappointed and will leave with a full belly and a full soul. Cheers!

Welcome to Nacho's Mexican Restaurant, a delightful culinary haven nestled at 1010 W Fort Macon Rd in the beautiful Atlantic Beach, NC. Here, the vibrant flavors of Mexico come alive, offering an authentic dining experience that beckons both locals and visitors alike.

At Nacho's, the atmosphere is calm and inviting, a sentiment echoed by diners like Joseph Connolly, who praised the cleanliness and friendly service. Here, every dish is crafted with care, showcasing the essence of homemade cooking. From the moment you step inside, you are embraced by a warm ambiance, perfect for enjoying a leisurely meal without the distractions of noise or disarray.

One standout is the Birria Tacos, which have earned rave reviews for their rich flavor and accompanying consommé—reportedly the best many have tasted in a while. Angela Evans couldn't contain her delight, noting the fresh salsa that strikes just the right balance of heat. If you’re in the mood for something crispy and refreshing, the Ceviche de Crabs comes highly recommended, with guests praising its serving size and delectable taste, particularly when paired with the restaurant's exceptional chips.

However, not every experience is without its hiccups, as Eric B. can attest. His online ordering experience was cumbersome, highlighting the importance of seamless service at any dining establishment. Nevertheless, the commendable standard of cleanliness and the enthusiastic staff, as noted by several guests, indicates that such issues may arise from growing pains rather than a lack of attention to detail.

The menu is as diverse as the clientele, with highlights like the Alambre Texano providing a generous portion perfect for sharing. Although some have mentioned a tendency towards saltiness in certain dishes, it appears that most diners leave with happy bellies and a desire to return. Whether you're popping in for a quick bite or a lengthy family dinner, Nacho's has something to satisfy every palate.

In conclusion, Nacho's Mexican Restaurant promises a hearty meal with the warmth of genuine hospitality. With attentive service, delightful dishes, and a meticulously clean environment, this gem is certainly worth a visit on your next trip to Atlantic Beach.
